Tassel Top Park/Beach is located just off Route 302 in Raymond, Maine. The entrance is across from Raymond Shopping Center and behind Jordan Bay Animal Hospital. Tassel Top amenities include our secured swim area, picnic tables, charcoal grills, Snack Shack, a playing field, walking trails, rest rooms, rental cabin, and on occasion special events.
Tassel Top Park/Beach is situated on 35 acres on the east shore line of Sebago Lake known as Jordan Bay. A short drive down a graveled road lined by mature pines and hardwoods leads you to our Gatehouse and Parking areas. Parking areas include a section for trails only, upper, lower, and handicap. Our lower section allows our patrons to drop off/pick up. The upper section is the largest parking area and has 3 walking trails (one that is stroller/wagon accessible) that lead you to our beach access trail.
Located to the left of the Snack Shack is the beach access trail. A short walk down a shady path, leads you to one of the best public beaches on Sebago Lake. Here you will find charcoal grills, picnic tables, 900 feet of sandy beach and a secured swim area marked by buoys.
Our Snack Shack offers a variety of frozen treats, hot foods, candy, drinks, clothing, and beach toys. Staff can also inflate beach toys for patrons upon request. Located next to the Snack Shack you will also find a very popular foot washing station, a playing field, more picnic tables, trash bins and our rest rooms. Tassel Top offers some games for the playing field, please ask staff at Snack Shack.
Another enjoyable amenity at Tassel Top is our walking trails, covering about .90 of a mile. The trails are clearly marked and intertwine with each other geared to let you walk shorter or longer distances. While on the trails you may see or hear some wildlife such as deer, foxes, porcupines, owls, crows, squirrels, and turkeys. Our trail system is also pet-friendly. Occasionally throughout the year at different times, Tassel Top does hold special events. Our events are family and community oriented, while designed to help non-profit organizations such as Raymond PTO, Drug Awareness Programs, etc. Our events are posted on our FB page so please like us to find out what’s coming up next!
